Fraport: earnings soar 81.5% to E167m

(CercleFinance.com) - In 2022, strong travel demand boosted all the group's key financial figures.


Net profit rose by 81.5% y-o-y to 166.6 million euros, even exceeding Fraport's forecast.

The group's adjusted revenues increased by 50.6% to 2.86 billion euros. Meanwhile, EBITDA rose 36% y-o-y to 1.03 billion euros.

Thanks to this significant increase, net debt to EBITDA improved to 6.9 (from 8.4 in 2021).

For the current year, management expects passenger traffic to increase by another 15% to 25% from 2022. EBITDA is expected to be around 1,040 to 1,200 million euros.

Group profit is expected between 300 and 420 million euros. Net debt/EBITDA for 2023 is expected to remain at the level of 2022, due to continued investments in expansion measures.
