Beiersdorf: organic growth accelerates at end of 2017

(CercleFinance.com) - Beiersdorf said yesterday that its provisional sales rose by 5.
7% in organic terms in 2017, reaching 7.05 billion euros.

The German group, which owns the Nivea and Tesa brands, reports a significant acceleration of the trend in Q4, which exceeded the target range (i.e. 4% to 5%).

At the "Consumer" division, which includes the Nivea brand, organic growth reached 4.7%, with sales of 5.8 billion euros, while the latest forecast issued by management was for approximately 4% growth. At the Tesa division (adhesives), this rate reached 10.6% at 1.26 billion euros, against a forecast of around 8%.
