6 billion dollars (3 billion euros) from its exposure to the hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico.
In all, the Swiss reinsurer estimates total losses for the insurance industry as a whole due to these events at approximately 95 billion dollars.
However, Swiss Re shares were resisting well on Zurich' SMI index, adding 0.9% at 91.4 Swiss francs after these comments.
