Nestlé: inaugurates plant in Egypt
(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé, the Swiss food giant, this morning announces the inauguration of a roasting plant in Egypt, which will bear the colours of its local brand, Bonjorno.
The group is making a corresponding investment of around 14 million Swiss francs (approximately 12 million euros).
The 12,740 m2 plant directly employs approximately 240 people, who work on eight soluble coffee production lines. It also provides work for around 7,000 people indirectly. Its production is for the rapidly growing local market and for exports in the region.
Remember that in January 2017, Nestlé bought out bought Caravan Marketing, a company holding the Bonjorno brand, presented as the leader in coffee in Egypt.
