Nestlé: reassures investors with full-year forecast
(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé reassured investors on Thursday by confirming its full-year guidance for 2018.
The group said that total sales increased by 2.3% to 43.9 billion Swiss francs in the first six months of the year, meaning that organic growth reached 2.8%.
The agro-food giant confirmed its full-year guidance, narrowing its organic sales growth forecast to around 3%.
Nestlé said it expects further improvement in organic revenue growth, and added that margin improvement was also set to accelerate.
Nestlé shares were up 1.1 percent at 80.8 Swiss francs, outperforming a 0.5 percent drop in the STOXX Europe 600 Food & Beverage index.
