ABB: chosen by H2 Energy Esbjerg ApS
(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces that it has been selected by Danish company H2 Energy Esbjerg ApS to provide electrical engineering support for the 1 GW hydrogen production plant in Esbjerg and the hydrogen distribution center in Fredericia, Denmark.
The Esbjerg plant will be one of the largest hydrogen developments in Europe, producing up to 90,000 tonnes of hydrogen a year, equivalent to around 1.9 million barrels of oil a year.
With this project, ABB will draw on its expertise in the Power-to-X (PtX) sector for the development of green hydrogen, which already includes collaborations in Sweden, Norway and elsewhere in Denmark.
