ABB: invests in charger factory in US
(CercleFinance.com) - ABB E-mobility has announcef the start of manufacturing at a new production facility in Columbia, South Carolina.
The multi-million dollar investment will increase production of electric vehicle chargers.
The new facility will be capable of producing up to 10,000 chargers per year, ranging from 20 to 180 kW.
The operation builds on ABB E-mobility's existing US manufacturing operations, which produce transit bus chargers ranging from 150 to 450 kW.
This production expansion is the latest in a series of major announcements from ABB regarding the US, with continued investments planned for 2024 and beyond.
