ABB: wins 30 million dollar order for Iraqi power plant.
(CercleFinance.com) - ABB has won an order worth 30 million dollars from Iraqi power producer Shamara to install a substation at a power plant located in southern Iraq.
ABB will design the 400 kilovolt (kV) air insulated switchgear (AIS) substation, which will be equipped with the latest digital control, protection and telecommunication systems.
The Swiss group said the Rumaila power plant is expected to increase power generation capacity by about 20%.
