LafargeHolcim: wins highway contract in Canada
(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim announces that it has won a contract worth over 100 million Canadian dollars (about 65 million euros) for a major highway improvement project on Highway 1 in Vancouver, Canada, works that are expected to be completed in 2021.
The Franco-Swiss building materials group will be the prime contractor for this project of the British Columbia Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, with an integrated solution that is based on its expertise in complex infrastructure projects.
This integrated solution includes the use of recycled aggregates, supplementary cementitious material improving the desired properties of concrete and finally sensors within the structural walls of the interchanges which monitor the complete concrete pour.
