Roche: acquires Good Therapeutics
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Roche announced that it would buy Good Therapeutics, a US biotechnology company, for 250 million dollars in cash.
The acquisition will give the Swiss healthcare giant access to Good Therapeutics' lead program, an interleukin-2 receptor agonist linked to programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1), an approach it currently favours in its immuno-oncology work.
The deal, which is expected to close by the end of September, may include additional milestone payments based on the achievement of certain predefined targets.
