Roche: UK clears acquisition of Spark
(CercleFinance.com) - British regulators have unconditionally cleared Roche's acquisition of US gene therapy company Spark, the Swiss drugmaker said on Monday.
The closing of the deal is still subject to other conditions, including the expiry of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in the US, and reception of a majority of Spark Shares.
As of 6 December, approximately 14.9% of Spark's shares had been validly tendered as part of the offer, which is scheduled to expire today.
