Roche: FDA clears new laboratory solution
(CercleFinance.com) - Roche said that the US Food and Drug Administration has cleared its new generation of clinical chemistry and immunochemistry laboratory solution, which was designed to run tests faster on less equipment.
The cobas pro integrated solution - which enables labs to automate manual tasks and deliver results more quickly - has received "accelerated" clearance from the FDA, the Swiss drugmaker said.
The system allows for up to 2,200 pregnancy, HIV and blood tests per hour with three modules working in parallel, boasting up to 3 1/4 hours less operating time for a daily routine workload, Roche said.
