Bombardier: awarded contract by Trenitalia
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Hitachi Rail and Bombardier Transportation announced the signing of a contract with Trenitalia to supply 23 Frecciarossa 1000 very high-speed trains to the new rail operator Intermodalidad de Levante (ILSA).
ILSA is a joint venture created by Trenitalia and Operador Ferroviario de Levante SL.
"The contract value is 797 million euro ($943 million US) in a partnership involving company participation of approximately 60 per cent and 40 per cent respectively," Bombardier said.
