Bombardier: wins 437 million euro rail contract
(CercleFinance.com) - Canadian plane and train maker Bombardier said on Friday that it has won a 437 million euro contract to supply rolling stock to an undisclosed customer in Europe.
Yesterday, the Montreal-based company said that it has received orders from Germany-based rail vehicle leasing company Railpool for 20 electric locomotives, with options for up to 20 additional vehicles.
Based on the list price, the latter deal is worth a combined total of approximately 74 million euros.
