Bombardier: wins Vienna tram order
(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier said on Thursday that its transportation unit will supply and maintain 18 trams for Wiener Lokalbahnen, an operator of regional bus lines and passenger trains in the Vienna area.
The contract - which includes an option for an additional 16 trams - is worth approximately 94 million euros, with the first of the new trams due to be delivered in 2021, the company said.
The modern, barrier-free and environmentally-friendly vehicles will be produced at Bombardier's plant in Vienna, it added.
The deal includes maintenance management over a period of 24 years.
