bpost: more cautious in current context
(CercleFinance.com) - The bpost share is fown 10% on Friday afternoon, with investors disappointed by the forecasts communicated by the Belgian postal operator when it published its latest quarterly results.
In a statement released last night, bpost group said it had started the year "in line with expectations" but warned that its annual financial performance could be affected by the unfavourable macroeconomic environment.
The group reported Ebit of 90 million euros for the first three months of the year, compared to 112.3 million euros a year earlier.
Its total operating income amounted to 1,038.5 million euros, up 1.8% compared to the same period last year.
