GBL: largest shareholder of Webhelp/Concentrix group
(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe Bruxelles Lambert announced on Thursday that it would become the largest shareholder of the new entity formed by Webhelp and Concentrix, which on Wednesday announced their intention to merge, aiming to create a global player in customer experience (CX).
GBL, which is Webhelp's majority shareholder, said it supports the deal, under which the holding company is expected to become the largest shareholder in the combined group and should be represented on the board.
As part of the deal, the investment company will receive 12.9% of Concentrix's ordinary shares, as well as earn-out shares entitling it to additional shares if certain targets are met, and a claim to a cash payment of around E500m.
Following this announcement, GBL shares were the biggest risers on the BEL 20 index of the Brussels stock exchange, up almost 3% this morning.
