Agfa-Gevaert: in talks to sell part of healthcare unit

(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian digital imaging group Agfa-Gevaert has entered into exclusive negotiations for the sale of a part of its healthcare IT business to Italy's Dedalus.


The business consists of the healthcare information solutions and integrated care activities, as well as the imaging IT business that are integrated into the healthcare information solutions unit.

The business generates revenues of around 260 million euros.

Under the terms of the deal, Dedalus would acquire 100% of the business based on an enterprise value of 975 million euros.

In May Agfa-Gevaert said that it would investigate the sale of a part of its healthcare unit.

The transaction is expected to be completed in second-quarter 2020.
