Roularta: sells its 50% stake in Medialaan.
(CercleFinance.com) - Roularta Media Group has announced the sale of its 50% stake in the audiovisual company Medialaan (TV channels vtm, Q2, Vitaya, CAZ, Q music and JOE radio channels, Mobile Vikings, etc.
) to the co-shareholder De Persgroep.
In addition, Roularta is acquiring half of Mediafin's shares, which belongs to De Persgroep. The other half is held by the Rossel Group. Mediafin is the publisher of the business media l'Echo and De Tijd.
These two transactions will result in a positive cash balance of approximately 217.5 million euros in favour of Roularta at closing.
“We also made the choice to sell our participation in Medialaan to our partner De Persgroep, whereby we will possess considerable means to further develop our digital and multichannel strategy," said Xavier Bouckaert, CEO of Roularta Media Group.
