GIMV: takes majority stake in Germany's Variotech
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Belgian investment company Gimv announced that it has acquired a majority stake in German workpiece tray manufacturer Variotech.
Founded in 1998, Variotech is based in Nordhorn, a town in Lower Saxony, where it produces disposable and reusable trays developed for the transport of workpieces.
The trays, mainly made from recycled material (from thermoforming), are intended to facilitate the automation of industrial processes and the use of robotic systems in factories.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
