Airbus: contract with Angola for a satellite
(CercleFinance.com) - On the French President's visit to Angola, Airbus Defence and Space has announced an agreement for Angeo-1, Angola's first ultra-high performance Earth observation satellite, to be built in France by the aerospace group.
This latest generation satellite will be used to support economic and social development, including a range of strategic activities such as urban planning and the management of valuable mineral resources.
The partnership entails a comprehensive training program which will be provided to Angolan engineers to build national capacity in the southern African country through targeted knowledge transfer.
