Walmart: former AT&T CEO appointed to board

(CercleFinance.com) - Walmart announced on Monday the appointment of Randall Stephenson, the former CEO of AT&T, as the 12th member of its board of directors.


The appointment, effective with immediate effect, will enable the retailer to benefit from his expertise in areas such as finance, technology, retail and brand management, the US retail giant said in a statement.

Stephenson, who is 60 years old, left AT&T earlier this year after a 38-year career with the US incumbent operator, having begun his career Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1982.

He served as CEO between 2007 and 2020.
