United Airlines: signs largest ever SAF deal

(CercleFinance.com) - United Airlines and Honeywell, an industry-specific solutions company, today announced a multi-million dollar joint investment in Alder Fuels, a pioneering tech company preparing for the large-scale production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).


Under the agreement, United will purchase 1.5 billion gallons of SAF from Alder over the next 20 years, a commitment that United says is the largest SAF agreement ever announced in the aviation industry.

For the company, the fastest way to reduce its fleet emissions is to adopt SAF, saying that its leadership gives customers the confidence that they are flying with an airline that recognises its responsibility to address climate change.
