Sprint: planned merger with T-Mobile US wins US approval

(CercleFinance.com) - US regulators have approved the merger between mobile phone operators T-Mobile US and Sprint, removing the final obstacle for the deal to go ahead.


The companies have successfully received approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for their proposed merger transaction.

The US Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Defense, also confirmed that they have no objections to the merger.

The merger's completion is hence expected to take place in the first half of 2019, the companies said.
