Procter & Gamble: raises dividend 6%, advances earnings

(CercleFinance.com) - Procter & Gamble said late on Tuesday that it is raising its dividend by 6% and that it is bringing forward the date for its third-quarter earnings release to Friday 17 April.


The consumer goods company, whose brands include Gillette, Head & Shoulders, Oral-B and Pampers, said that it will raise its quarterly dividend to 0.7907 dollar per share.

The dividend will be payable on or after 15 May to shareholders on record at the close of business on 24 April, it said.

P&G said that it has increased its dividend for the last 64 years.

P&G also announced that it is bringing forward its third-quarter earnings release to Friday 17 April, ahead of the previously announced date of 21 April to provide shareholders with information "as quickly and transparently as possible" in the midst of the corona epidemic.
