Morgan Stanley: Quant Research Center opens in Paris

(CercleFinance.com) - US investment bank Morgan Stanley announced on Wednesday that it will strengthen its presence in France with the opening of a global applied research center in Paris.


Citing its clients' "growing interest" in quantitative strategies, the Wall Street giant said that it has decided to establish this platform to encourage innovation within its market activities, notably through the development of analytical and technological tools.

In particular, the center will enable the company to drive its growth strategy in corporate and investment banking, both in EMEA and beyond.

In a statement, the group highlights the "huge talent pool" in mathematics and quantitative sciences in the French market.

Morgan Stanley says that it considers it "essential" to strengthen its leadership position in risk analysis and technology for its brokerage and trading businesses.
