Morgan Stanley: Q3 above estimates

(CercleFinance.com) - Morgan Stanley has reported Q3 2018 net income that is up 19% at 2.
1 billion dollars, meaning EPS of 1.17 dollars, 16 cents above the consensus.

Revenues increased by 7% to 9.9 billion dollars, as growth in the institutional securities and asset management divisions offset a slowdown in investment management.

"Despite the seasonal summer slowdown in the third quarter, we reported solid revenue and earnings growth demonstrating the stability of the franchise," commented Chairman and CEO James Gorman, who said "We remain well positioned and optimistic for the remainder of the year."
