Mondelez: finalises acquisition of Perfect Snacks

(CercleFinance.com) - Mondelez International announces Tuesday evening the finalisation of the acquisition of a majority stake in the capital of Perfect Snacks, "a pioneer in the fast-growing refrigerated nutrition bars segment", a transaction that was announced in June.


The agri-food group, which owns the brands Lu, Milka and Oreo for example, underlined at the time that the refrigerated snacks segment generates 20 billion dollars in sales in the United States and represents a third of the American snack market.

Mondelez says it will operate Perfect Snacks as a separate entity "in order to nurture its entrepreneurial spirit and maintain the authenticity of the brand," while providing the resources to help its development.
