Mondelez: acquires Perfect Snacks

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening Mondelez International announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Perfect Snacks, a pioneer in the fast growing segment of refrigerated nutrition bars.


The agri-food group, which for example owns the Lu, Milka and Oreo brands, points out that the refrigerated snacks segment generates 20 billion dollars in sales in the US each year, and represents a third of the total American snacks market.

The transaction, whose financial terms were not disclosed in the company's press release, remains subject to customary conditions and should be finalsed later this summer after regulatory review.
