Microsoft: invests 1.5 billion dollars in Italy

(CercleFinance.com) - Microsoft announced on Friday that it will invest 1.
5 billion dollars in Italy over five years, in a project that includes building its first data center in the country.

The US software giant says that it aims to offer cloud services at a local level, to promote digital learning and provide SMEs with access to artificial intelligence hubs.

Microsoft says that it has many customers in Italy, including the pasta maker Barilla, oil group Eni, insurer Generali or and the eyewear manufacturer Luxottica.
