Microsoft: strategic partnership with Walgreens Boots

(CercleFinance.com) - Software giant Microsoft said on Tuesday that it is joining forces with pharmacy chain Walgreens Boots Alliance to develop personalized health care services.


The companies will focus on connecting drugstores and health information systems.

In addition, in 2019 WBA will pilot up to 12 store-in-store "digital health corners" aimed at selling health care-related hardware and devices, they said.

Through the agreement, Microsoft will also become WBA's strategic cloud provider, with WBA migrating the majority of its IT infrastructure onto Microsoft Azure.
