Merck: FDA approves expanded use of Keytruda

(CercleFinance.com) - The Food and Drug Administration granted approval to Merck to expand use of its blockbuster immunotherapy Keytruda for treatment of classical Hodgkin lymphoma.


Keytruda is currently indicated for the treatment of many cancers, spanning from cervical cancer to non-small cell lung cancer.

An estimated 8,500 patients in the US, many of them 40 years of age or younger, will be diagnosed with classical Hodgkin lymphoma this year.
