Macy's: further raises FY guidance

(CercleFinance.com) - Macy's said it now expects to report adjusted EPS of 4.
57 to 4.76 dollars for its current fiscal year, up from 3.41 to 3.75 dollars previously, with sales of 24.12 to 24.28 billion dollars, up from 23.55 to 23.95 billion dollars.

Over the quarter, the department stores' chain posted adjusted EPS of 1.23 dollar, compared to a loss of 0.19 dollar a year ago, on sales of 5.44 billion dollars, up 36.4% (+37.2% on a comparable basis).

In addition, management said it intends to launch an organised digital marketplace platform that will further drive customer acquisition and sales growth across all of its channels.
