Lockheed Martin: new rocket launcher for US military

(CercleFinance.com) - Last night Lockheed Martin announced that it has delivered the first M270A2 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) to the US Army.


This delivery represents a significant milestone for Lockheed Martin, as the upgraded system will support the Army and its allied partners for decades to come, the group said.

Lockheed Martin, in partnership with the Red River Army Depot, is upgrading the M270 with an all-new 600-horsepower engine, an upgraded armored cab and a common fire control system (CFCS).

The complete restoration ensures that the M270 series launcher remains highly effective and reliable to serve the US military and partner nations through 2050.
