Eli Lilly: new doses ordered for Covid-19 treatment

(CercleFinance.com) - Eli Lilly announces an amended purchase agreement with Washington to supply 150,000 additional doses of Covid-19 treatment bebtelovimab, for approximately 275 million dollars, which should meet current demand until the end of August.


The laboratory says that bebtelovimab continues to have neutralisation activity against the most common Omicron variants and at the highest growth rate in the United States, in addition to all the known variants of interest and concern.

The delivery of the doses will start immediately and end by 5 August, with an impact on estimated EPS of approximately 0.08 dollars for 2022. An option for 350,000 doses may additionally be exercised by 14 September.
