KKR: invests $450m in Hero Future Energies

(CercleFinance.com) - US investment giant KKR and Hero Future Energies (HFE), the renewable energy arm of the Hero Group, today announced that they have signed definitive agreements under which KKR and the Hero Group will invest 450 million dollars in HFE.


This investment will enable HFE to expand its renewable energy capabilities and expertise. HFE will also seek to support companies in their efforts to decarbonise and transition to sustainable energy sources.

Founded in 2012, Hero Future Energies is an independent power producer in India with a diversified portfolio of 1.6 GW of solar and wind projects in operation.

HFE's clean energy solutions play an important role in helping companies decarbonise, KKR commented.
