Johnson & Johnson: to collaborate with Apple on wearables

(CercleFinance.com) - Johnson & Johnson said on Thursday that it has entered into a research project with Apple to assess the impact of wearable technology on the detection of atrial fibrillation, a condition that can lead to strokes.


J&J's Janssen unit and Apple will investigate whether a new heart health program using an app from Johnson & Johnson in combination with Apple Watches can accelerate the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation.

A multi-year research program will be launched later in 2019, the companies said.
