IBM: first European data centre for quantum era

(CercleFinance.com) - IBM announced on Tuesday its intention to build a new data centre specialising in quantum computing in Germany, the first of its kind on the European continent.


The site, which is due to open next year, will use several quantum computing systems developed by the American group, all equipped with processors of over 100 qubits.

IBM explains that this centre will enable it to respond to the growing ecosystem of quantum technologies in Europe, a region that it believes has some of the most advanced users of supercomputers.

It will enable private companies, research institutes and public authorities to support their activities in quantum computing..
