IBM: acquisition in ESG reporting tools

(CercleFinance.com) - IBM announced Tuesday that it has acquired Envizi, a provider of analytical software and data solutions for environmental performance management.


Envizi's technology automates the collection of over 500 types of data to build reporting tools, including for environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Envizi counts groups such as Microsoft, Qantas and Uber among its main clients.

In a statement, IBM said the acquisition - completed today - is part of its growing investment in artificial intelligence-based software.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
