Intel: signs collaboration agreement with Lenovo

(CercleFinance.com) - Intel announced on Monday that it has signed a multi-year collaboration agreement with the Chinese group Lenovo in the areas of High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).


Both groups - which were already working together in the data center industry - say they want to accelerate the convergence between high-performance computing and artificial intelligence in order
to offer tailored products for businesses of all sizes.

The idea is to optimize Lenovo's software for use in Intel's next-generation processors.

Lenovo has said that its servers already equip over 170 of the world's 500 fastest supercomputers.
