Intel: shares buoyed by broker comments ahead of results
(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in Intel, the world's biggest chipmaker, opened up 1% at 52 dollars on Wednesday morning, helped by positive broker comments ahead of the company's first quarter results tomorrow.
In a note published before the market opened, Credit Suisse said it expects Intel to post earnings above consensus tomorrow evening and to provide second-quarter targets that are above the consensus, on the back of positive supply chain checks.
The broker - which maintains an "outperform" rating on the stock - has hence raised its target price from 55 dollars to 60 dollars.
