Honeywell: adds new UK face mask production line
(CercleFinance.com) - Honeywell is building a new production line at a Scottish plant to manufacture more face masks for the UK government, the US industrial conglomerate said on Friday.
The new manufacturing line is capable of producing up to 4.5 million FFP2 and FFP3 disposable face masks per month at the Newhouse site, the company said in a statement. The UK government has recently ordered 70 million of locally-made Honeywell masks, with production expected to start as early as July, so they can be distributed to UK frontline workers.
