Home Depot: launches venture captial fund

(CercleFinance.com) - The Home Depot has announced the launch of The Home Depot Ventures, a 150 million dollar venture capital fund that will explore opportunities to invest in companies at various stages of development - and particularly start-ups.


The fund aims to invest in companies that advance The Home Depot's ability to deliver a seamless, interconnected shopping experience, develop new and differentiated capabilities and expand its position as a low-cost provider.

Little reaction on the market however, with the share down 0.5% in early trading on Wall Street.
