HP Enterprise: unveils new supercomputer

(CercleFinance.com) - This Thursday HP Enterprise unveiled its exascale-class supercomputer, presented as the fastest in the world, with a power of 2 exaflops (or 2,000 petaflops).


This makes it around two million times more powerful than current PCs and it "is 10 times faster than today's most powerful supercomputers," HPE said.

Called El Capitan, this supercomputer is set to be delivered at the end of 2022 to the US Department of Energy.

Despite this, the HPE share is currently down almost 4% in early trading on Wall Street.
