HPE: raises full-year outlook as margins improve

(CercleFinance.com) - Hewlett Packard Enterprise raised its full-year guidance on Thursday after seeing its margin improve and EPS exceeding its outlook in the past quarter.

The tech company, one of two created by the breakup of IT giant HP in 2015, said that second-quarter non-GAAP EPS from continuing operations was 0.42 dollar, up from 0.32 dollar a year ago.

Second quarter net revenue fell by 4% to 7.2 billion dollars, down 4% year-on-year.

On a brighter note, its non-GAAP operating margin rose to 8.9%, vs. 8.2% in the second quarter of the previous financial year, the group said.

Another positive, HPE now expects non-GAAP EPS to be in a range of 1.62 dollar to 1.72 dollar for its fiscal year 2019, up from 1.56 dollar to 1.66 dollar previously.
