GM: Detroit 'Factory ZERO' now has 5G network

(CercleFinance.com) - General Motors announced on Friday that "Factory ZERO", its fully electric vehicle assembly plant located in Detroit, is the first automotive plant in the United States to install dedicated 5G fixed mobile network technology.


Verizon's 5G Ultra Widebband service is now operating at Factory ZERO, with its exponential bandwidth and speed increases supporting the plant's ongoing processing as it prepares to start producing electric vehicles in 2021.

The group said that this technological infrastructure will pave the way for revolutionary innovations.
