GE: partner of Leeward wind power project in US

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Renewable Energy today announced that it has been selected by Leeward Renewable Energy as the technology partner for its wind turbines to re-engineer 90 MW of the Aragon Wind Project in Guadalupe County, New Mexico (US).


The wind farm's output will reach 235 MW, with GE already supplying the rest of the 145 MW Aragonne Mesa wind project.

As part of this project, GE will supply a total of 86 wind turbines to replace the 90 existing units with more efficient and reliable equipment.

The operation is expected to be completed before the end of the year, GE said.
