GAP: acquires the startup Drapr
(CercleFinance.com) - Clothing chain Gap has acquired the startup Drapr, which offers an app that enables customers to find the best garment size and fit for their style and body type via virtual clothing trials online.
Using advanced 3D technology, Drapr has shown that it can help shoppers efficiently find the size and fit they need Gap plans to leverage Drapr to help it improve the customer experience and accelerate its digital transformation, the group said.
The deal was negotiated by Gap's strategic growth office, a company unit that is responsible for thinking beyond its core business to meet consumer and industry demands of the future.
