Fedex: raises dividend and board appointments

(CercleFinance.com) - The transportation, e-commerce and services conglomerate FedEx has announced that its board of directors has decided on a quarterly dividend of 1.
15 dollar per share, up 53%, which will be payable on 11 July to shareholders on record on 27 June.

The company says that this increase ensures that its capital allocation strategy reflects its confidence in the company's trajectory.

In addition, FedEx has announced the appointment of Amy Lane and Jim Vena as new independent directors, effective immediately, as part of an agreement with D.E. Shaw Group, with a third appointment due later.
