Facebook: quarterly publication postponed by one day

(CercleFinance.com) - Facebook said on Monday that it has decided to delay the release of its quarterly results by one day due to calendar issues.


The social network said in a statement that it will release its second quarter results on Thursday 30 July after trading in the US, rather than on the evening of Wednesday 29 July as originally planned.

The Menlo Park, California-based group says its founding CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, was called to testify before the House of Representatives' Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

US parliamentarians have indeed planned to spend Wednesday examining the "dominant position" of tech giants Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google.
